The Sacred Order of the Gentlemen,s of the Barroom and Pubs (SOCABA) (formerly Sagrada Ordem dos Cavalheiros do Bar) is a Brazilian order of gentlemen who like drink beer.

Founded by a groups of Students of History on may 1997 in the city of Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

The name derives from the mediæval ceremony for creating a knight or the cruzades. But diferent of the historical cruzades, the SOCABA involved the beer (as a historical symbol of social relationchip) as one of its elements.

Beer is one of the world's oldest prepared beverages, possibly dating back to the early Neolithic or 9500 BC, when cereal was first farmed, and is recorded in the written history of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia.

Archaeologists speculate that beer was instrumental in the formation of civilisations.
